Were You Thinking About It When You Made Your Boeing Comment?

RE 1. This is exactly what Zubrin has talked about Larry. It's why I think your 12 billion Boeing project comment was ridiculous. I'm not an aerospace engineer, but I have a friend who is and designing a plane from scratch is tough. You also have all kinds of constraints determined by consumer demand that are not an issue with a rocket. Yet somehow in the context of Zubrin's plans you scoff at the idea that developing a heavy lift vehicle could be done in 10 years. Here you state "a couple years". The dollar comparison is also questionable given that I doubt very much you expect 2 thirds of NASA's budget to go towards this over 2 years
