re: The fine print
When you include The Grand Tour, the '70s weren't so bad. The Pioneer missions took off where Apollo left off. If someone says, *been there, done that* to outer solar system exploration, then why are we going back to the moon? Some members of Congress have said they want to ensure that the United States remains the global leader in space exploration. *Ahh, good, "space exploration"!. On going back to the moon: "If we don't do it, somebody else will," said U.S. Rep. Bart Gordon of Tennessee, a ranking Democrat on the House Science Committee. From:MSNBC
Exploring to learn and experiencing to see if we can survive go hand in hand.
