These people (not all of them are economists) signed an open letter. They asked to restrain federal spending which Bush hasn't done. The only reason they give to make the 2001 tax cut permanent is to end uncertainty. There is no analysis here that they signed as to why it was good.
They also ask for further tax relief without specifying what it is, except suggesting double taxationon dividends and the AMT. I see no analysis of any of these things, no journals, no peer review, no economic models, not a sausage.
So none of the things I asked for are in this, none at all. I'm not surprised you came up with this though, I read it myself at the time. It's still the shocking truth that you can't come up with what I'm asking for except to make it into some kind of tinfoil hat conspiracy theory the lefty economists are trying to do to Bush.

- job creation has been slower than in almost any previous recovery, and wage growth has slowed to a crawl
- Thats because many are now self-employed.
- Unfortunately, you seem to be correct. The employment rate (% of persons employed) has gone DOWN. This is very bad news. I don't see any recovery of jobs coming in the next few years.
