By that time ITER fusion experiments will be almost complete. They will very likely be deep into planning DEMO, the prototype for a commerical fusion powerplant. So maybe they can improve the process by 100-fold using the experimental data from ITER. I'm sure they expect to improve something, otherwise why build it?
