Why release a color image meant to give the public an impression of what the colors of Mars are KNOWING BEFOREHAND THESE COLORS WILL BE WRONG when you can just as easily give a correct color image?

Perhaps the thinking is that people can not handle the truth and they must be shown only what they expect to see.
