And I'm aware that there is far more chicanery than generally accepted, so I'm a conspiracy nut.

For instance, a book I"m reading right now convincingly shows that Ronald Reagan encouraged the Pakistani development of nuclear weapons as he wanted their help against the Russians in Afghanistan.

That would seem to be a conspiracy to most people, I believe, at least me until I read the thing.
