I'm sure it's possible to assembled anaglyph stills into a movie. Sounds like a lot of work, but I don't see any technical objection. Given the technological milieu of the Workbench, the most it'll ever have is animated side-by-side stereo. Animated anaglyphs are a whole nother level!
The Babylon 5 reference was obscure humor. The show was created by J. Michael Straczinski, known to his horde of worshipful followers as "JMS". I'd already picked up on your profession, so I knew you aren't him. My humor often misses the mark, don't worry about it, it isn't you.
Varley, Simmons, Stephenson...classy choices, they're all masters of the writing craft, and they're on my Top X list too. You should create an Album page, it sounds like you have an interesting CV. You can email text and images to me and I'll set it up for you.
