re: Grand Canyon
Hi Jim,
Back in 1994, I went down on a Grand Canyon rafting trip (there were others and also normal visits since 1978). One of the members of the expedition was a geologist and every night, out there in full nature, we'd listen to his stories.
At one point, we crossed a section of strates that were highly inclined (towards the river), as if a catastrophic event had occured a very long time ago. I also remember seeing Orion rise at 03:00 AM and the full moon lighting up the entire place (sometimes it was hard to find sleep).
Countless memories from a great place!
