"Nine children die in a mistaken air strike in Afghanistan.
"Am I supposed to infer that if George W. Bush was NOT president, this would not have happened? Why not? Would Al Gore have stayed out of Afghanistan? Really? Or maybe pilots would have been a lot more careful with Al Gore as president? Why?"
In the first place, we may not have entered into an illegal, immoral war which has killed thousands of innocent people. Does that bother you at all, that we have turned into a nation with the foreign policy of the 1930's Germany, complete down to the "freeing the downtrodden" excuses? Even a little bit?
I'm saying that the Rules of Engagement are so loose that it allows such sloppy targeting. In Iraq the Aussies refused to bomb on 40 missions because the targets were obviously of no military value and would have resulted in unnecessary casualties.
We haven't heard of any American pilots who did that.
What you imply, that only Bush can save us from terrorism, is hard to understand. 9-11 happened on his watch, credible people say it could have been prevented, he's hiding from everyone what information he did have, and he's creating hate with the way he's going about things faster than he can kill people.
That's why I believe that under a different administration we may not have become the world's biggest rogue nation and a threat to peace on Earth.
And I realize there is nothing personal in your inability to understand this. It's constitutional, it's immutable, and immune to anything I might say.

I don't think I'm reading you correctly.
