Bowser makes a few good points which seem to co-incide with what I perceive as the truth, from his position. He's been in war? And you haven't?
Well, I can see it from a humane perspective, one that doesn't affect my pocket book or make me a Bush apologist. As I have said before here two times already; Bush, our Commander in Chief KNEW and EXPECTED these things to happen. He condoned them. In some regards, he IS responsible.
And he won't apologize or change the rules becasue of his God-given self-righteousness. Deep down in his black heart, he wants revenge, and he has whipped the crowds into a frenzy for war, saw any signs of a fight from the Iraqis as another excuse to yell "Bring 'em on!" (in his best Texas bravado), and he is expecting the military to carry out his mission, his idealogy of hatred and revenge.
I think the man has some serious issues. I'm glad I'm not married to him. It's just a shame he's our CinC.
He removed the constraints for torture, he removed the US from international courts dealing with war crimes, he brought back political assassinations, and threw away all legal proceedings to determine guilt and innocence for the prisoners at Quantanamo.
What kind of a message does this send?
If you teach an eight year how to shoot, how to kill, then leave your firearms around the house loaded and he goes out and shoots the neighbour on a bad day, who would be responsible?
In this day and age, it's the parent.
Got that yet?
