...we've already got Florida, which on a map kinda sorta looks like Israel, a little bit. So why would we need another long, thin state?
Hey! If we moved the population of Florida to Israel, and vice versa, do you think that'd solve the problems in the Middle East? The IDF could fence off the state border and make military excursions into Georgia and Alabama...if they dare, that is.
And the Middle East would be flooded with the world's most wonderful orange juice. That alone, I bet, would go a long way to reducing tensions:
Jeb Bush, new leader of Israel: Hey Yassir, how's about a fresh glass of the ol' nectar of the Gods?
Arafat: Wonderful, my friend! Pulp free, I assume.
Bush: No sir, Yassir! Heavy pulp's good for the digestion.
Arafat (throws down glass): Why you dirty son of a mongrel...
Well, maybe not. It'd also an awful strain on future boat people...it's a heckuva trip from Cuba to Israel when you're packed like sardines on a makeshift raft.
