Here is one good reason why most if not all UFOs are not visitors from another world:

I am always amazed that after centuries of UFO reports, there is still nothing more than stories and bad photographs. Amazing how none of these alleged ETI have ever once made a revealing mistake and that they all follow some kind of Prime Directive of Non-Interference with less advanced cultures such as ours.

It would be ridiculously easy for a starfaring culture to take over Earth and the human race if it wanted to. Just read Footfall by Niven and Pournelle.
