the unspoken problem with pilots as observers

I've written about the mental predisposition of pilots in interpreting visual stimuli at
http://www.beyondroswell.com/roswell/casestudies.html
and the instrument/visual records here add to the interest, but don't undo the basic problem with pilot reports. Time will tell -- two-thirds of what's already been published, typically, is misunderstanding, hype, and bad guesses.
