Thanks .. I'm open to his arguments on the first and second 'no' (let's wait and see), agree with him on the third, and have a real problem with the fourth (maybe more on that in a later post when i get time)

Re the third point about maliciously equating of US 'atrocities' with the other side's viciousness - if it ever turns out the US (or other coalition members') crimes extended to serious physical torture (ie 'real' torture, not just humiliation and deprivation) then the moral balance would change somewhat. .. Certainly not enough to erase my memories of Nick Berg (or for that matter 9/11), but enough to start me seriously questioning the morality of the invasion.
