Convince me you're (and we, ie. the coalition) are *really* fighting terrorists and you'll find me much more sympathetic.

I don't know. Who do you THINK is shooting at us, blowing up our vehicles, and setting off car bombs with the specific purpose of eliminating the chance of a self-governing Iraq?

Anyone trying to convince me that we "created" these terrorists is going to have to point out a car bomber that, before we invaded Iraq, was just a grocery store clerk who was suddenly inspired by the invasion of Iraq (why aren't they pouring into Afghanistan in these numbers? Ever wonder about that?). These people have been out there a long time, and if they weren't making trouble in Iraq right now, they would be doing it somewhere else.

Zarqawi as much as said that there was nothing more threatening to his Islamist movement than a self-governing democratic Iraq, and he laid out the plan to prevent it. A plan that has been pretty much followed in recent weeks, but doesn't seem to be working for him.
