.. even if new and worse news about coalition behaviour comes out, the important thing is the context - firstly, are these guys terrorists (or connected to terrorists), and then, would that torture be for the sole purpose of extracting vital information. If so - it could be acceptable. But if not, then supporters of the war lose all moral ground, even despite the incomparible viciousness of the 'insurgents'. (anyway, hopefully we won't get worse news ..)

It really boils down to whether or not you believe in the war as a moral action. I'm open to new evidence but am leaning to the idea that the whole thing is a crock. Convince me you're (and we, ie. the coalition) are *really* fighting terrorists and you'll find me much more sympathetic.
