And this rant had to do with what exactly?
At first I wasn't going to write anything.
Prob should quit while you were ahead then.
And since I am have a post going and you threw the first stone, let me throw mine.
The Liberals of the board ignore the subject that Saddam was a murder and it is a good thing we got rid of him.
No, not all of us do. Some of the "Liberals" here even supported the war.
Others recognized Saddam was a psychopath long before Gulf War 2. We didn't need GWB to tell us that. Apparently you did.
Saddam murdered people everyday in his country. Most of these were because the people disagreed with him or displeased him. He also used WMD (This is a fact) to kill Kurds. His sons were just as bad. One had a human shredding machine where he put in a live person and watch the gore. He was know for raping teenage girls. He had no problem killing. These sons would have taken over once Saddam was gone.
With the exception of the last line, all that was correct. The only part of the post that is.
You liberals are supposed to be the frontrunner for human rights across the globe. You are supposed to support ridding the world of dictators like Saddam. So why wil you not admit it is a good thing we got rid of him?
Many do think it was a good thing. Some don't, but tar everybody with the same brush why dontcha?
Was it worth the cost? Was the invasion justified? Those are separate questions that have diddly squat to do with whether Saddam was a bad guy or not.
When the "liberals" pointed out the conditions in Iraq as a result of sadaam's controlling of the sanctions, where was the "right"? "It's Sadam's fault. Nothing to do with us. We wash our hands".
(Not that the liberal solution of lifting sanctions was any real answer, but at least they were thinking about it.)
When the Kurds were being gassed, where was the right?
When the Iranians were being gassed, where was the right? (right alongside....)
When groups like Amnesty were pointing out atrocities, were was the right? (Oh we dont listen to THOSE lefties, they occasionally criticize us)
Where the F*** where you during the last 20 F-ing years?
Don't get all teary over the Iraqi's now, you didn't care before.
That is your quagmire. That is why you do not respond to such post. You know why? To acknowledge it was good that we got rid of a murderous dictator, is to say we have done something good in Iraq, and you just can’t do that. Why? Because you don’t want to say anything positive about what we are doing over there. Why? Because President Bush is in charge, and you hate him so much, nothing he does is good.
Complete shite.
Again you can't come up with anything other than 'You hate Bush". What a pathetic excuse for an argument.
That is your Quagmire.
No, that is your closed mind.
Now if Kerry gets elected I am sure we will suddenly become heroes over in Iraq.
Why? We are already there. We need heroes now (and we have them in spades).
We also need an administration that isn't completely f-ing incompetent guiding their actions too.
<end my rant>
