Excuse me but...
...almost every nation on the face of the earth has this kind of radiological waste material. Its presence in Iraq isn't particularly exceptional. However, one could argue that the U.S. war in Iraq created the distinct possibility that this stuff could have fallen in the wrong hands. Fortunatley, it will not and we're damn lucky it didn't. But prior to the war, its presence in Iraq was well documented, secured and subject to routine inspections. It did not represent any kind of threat whatsoever.
