Actually Tom, I have to give GW a nod for that snappy comeback. Now here's the rub. The Shrub's campaign is getting on Edwards for his lack of foreign policy experience and yet GWB came into office with his political experience consisting of being Governor of Texas. So if anyone's not qualified to be president based on world experience, GW probably shouldn't be pointing that out. Of course the lame-brained Dems didn't pick up on that one.
Have to tell you though, although I think politically the choice of Edwards was a smart one for gaining electoral votes, I didn't like the guy from the moment I saw him speak. Sounds like a Southern Baptist preacher to me. You keep expecting him to break into the fire and brimstone talk any second. He also has this annoying habit of belching out a sound bite and then sitting back with a grin on his face like he's smuggly thinking to himself - "Boy did I nail em with that one". Not sure I'd buy a used car from the man. That said however, he certainly warms my heart more than Dickhead Cheney and it'd take the kidnapping of my firstborn son to make me vote for the Republican ticket this time out.
