Our country is ruled by law, there was no law requiring the President to give sworn testimony in this circumstance. In what way would it serve the interest of our country for our president to not act in accordance with the law?
I wonder what a fool who says, "An honest man has no fear of being under oath when testifying" can say about the 5th amendment.
It probably would be amusing.
