re: Still repeating the same tired lie...Well stop it!

"I assume you are referencing to the self incrimination text as almost everything else is about due process and police powers of the state. You are right Bush has the right to protect himself against self incrimination. Interesting that you should feel Bush needs to use this particular Amendment and that clause. "

I don't feel this. The commission lacks the authority to make a President give sworn testimony, therefore the president would not need to invoke the 5th. Nor does it seem like a good idea, to grant this kind of authority to any govermentally blessed witchhunt. By having the President, for short term political gain, be a sworn witness for the commission, it would have strong influence on future investigations- and perhaps creating a crisis in which a President might be forced to take the 5th in order to continue to perform effectively as commander-in-chief.
I bought up the 5th, because reasoning behind this amendment does agree with your assertion that "An honest man has no fear of being under oath when testifying".
If you accept the soundness of the reasoning behind the 5th, and also accept "An honest man has no fear of being under oath when testifying". Then you must have something crazy going on between your ears.
