Life is filled with infinite detail. The deeper you look, the more you find. If you pick out only the details that support a theme you promote - and ignore the greater number that do not support your theme - then you can build an amazing-looking case.

Much like McCarthy's ability to link anyone to communists, clues of Paul McCartney's death, Saddam's WMDs, etc.
