That's a very good question Lee, and one I've often pondered myself.
There are events that appear to be related. We call them co-incidences. I call them "circumchances"........or a 360` chance.

This type of event makes us wonder, truly wonder if there is Intelligence behind the scenes. Or what exactly is it?

One of the best books I have read on the subject is from a worthy descendent of Freud. The late psychiatrist, Dr Jule Eisenbud wrote the book "Parapsychology and the Unconscious" (North Atlantic Books, 1983, 1992). He basically describes PSI as being the compelling force of nature that links individual beings and events as the force that regulates and controls the functioning of the Universe, and is the basis of our perceptions of religion, and what gives meaning to our lives.

Not only would I suggest you try and find a copy of this book, but you might understand why the author of that piece on Lincoln and Kennedy may have tapped into his own PSI.
