Avoidance isn't the issue. When confronted with Islamofascist actions and terror there is a tendency to accept this terror as par for the course and excusable under Islamic belief structures. The sense that somehow Islam is victimized and that their acts of depravity are
"explicable" under their living conditions, education, history, etc.
I agree the folks here don't support terror but the "explicable" defense has come up a trillion times going back to the discussion regarding the suicide bombings in Israel which killed a San Diego woman, and later in the discussion regarding the Jenin "massacre."
Unfortunatel, once you can explain away something you don't have to address it as a problem. That's where your "avoidance" comes into the equation.
"Oh, kids poop in their pants all the time."
"Oh, their culture endorses suicide martyrdom."
They denounce the massacre only to turn around and blame it all on Bush, the only guy who's actually trying to put an end to the violence and introduce Democracy to the Middle East.
Yeah, parts may have seemed over the top and especiallty the broad generalization. Lindy and MA shouldn't be upset. Heck, don't look now...but Don is already posting another grim reaper spampost.

Loved the "reply hazy ask again later" line.

"acceptable" wasn't meant to imply "support." Perhaps "explicable" is best.
