You wrote something and clicked on post, so by a limited definition you can be said to have responded.
Bowser's post was a comment on the behavior of a set of people on CE. Any responsive post would have referred to those folk's behavior and would have agreed to or refuted Bowser's contention. No one referred to those folks at all, out of 5 responses.
Of course, these non-responses happen all the time around here, and I do it myself from time to time (call me on it and I will apologize immediately). The reason I played nanny this time was because of the humor of getting 5 lightening-fast, non-responses from the usual suspects. You should be able to get a giggle out of that, yourself.
And it is good for all of us to be called on bad logic or bad rhetorical practise. If I do it, please call me on it. On the other hand, if your goal is to pursuade by any means, I can see how such corrections would be an irritation.
As far as the mugging line, it was a reference to the old joke: "A Republican is a Democrat that has been mugged." Sorry if it offended. I intended to address the teaser in Fox's post that "a different one does now" (even though he tried to discourage guesses).
