She said:"File a complaint with the FCC, if you want to take CBS to task. Be prepared for someone to do the same with Fox, whose record is not as good. "
I said: Do you have any idea of how stupid you are appearing to be?
She said "No. Suppose you explain why suggesting that a citizen complain to the oversight agency of the government is stupid.
I remember the Moon Hoax documentary on Fox. Do you?"
Actually I didn't watch the Moon Hoax on Fox, but do I remember almost everyone on this board, minus the kooks such as Lindy or Bowser, saying they didn't think this program was any good. I've spent enough time on the internet which has allowed me to be exposed to these type kooky ideas- Moon Hoax, UFOs stuff, or whatever. I don't have any burning need to watch this junk on TV.
So, what are we talking about? Oh yeah, lousy tv programs like what CBS offers.
So, I'm suppose to care enough about CBS that I *should* file a complaint with FCC. And then supposing I did this, and then I'm obliged to think it's important [and be "prepared"] that someone else files a complaint about Fox News??
I don't do this kind of stuff- this is a different world you are apparently living in.
And just to be clear, I'm not a fan of any particular network.
Ok. Apparently you wasted your time watching the Moon Hoax. And can I assume you discovered something worthy of writing to FCC?
And did you file a complaint with the FCC?
If so, perhaps it's an experience you would like to share. Please be so kind as to explain how this action of writing to FCC did anything which you regard as significant.
She said "Swift Boats: There are plenty of other honorable gentlemen who have contested their veracity. I don't have to hate anybody to listen to them. "
I said: Illogical.
She said "Only if some veterans are considered more truthful than others. And if that's so, which ones are you prepared to call liars, here, in public? "
It's not illogical "only" if some veterans are considered more truthful than others.
It's simply lacks any logical sense whatsoever.
As far as who I'm I willing to say is a liar?
Well, John Kerry is a liar.
He is such a special liar that he was calling the commander in chief in a time of war a liar. Kerry "contested his veracity" by claiming that he had a searing memory of being "illegally" in Cambodia on Xmas day '68.
Now, perhaps Kerry's special "band of brothers" are more honest than Kerry- afterall they haven't claimed they were with Kerry on this alleged "illegal" mission to Cambodia.
Or then again, maybe this special "band of brothers" lacks Kerry's extraordinary kind of courage and conviction. After all, Kerry has the singular honor of being a much bigger war hero in Vietnam as a someone betraying America than as a US miltary soldier serving America.
