If "obsession", as in "returning to a minor issue over and over" is the hallmark of hatred that all the conservative posters who harp on Bush-hatred say it is, what is the obsessive behavior of the conservatives on CE a hallmark of?
Just today someone over there (I don't remember who -- you guys have all begun to sound the same) suggested that CBS be called before a Congressional committee over these memos. Did any of you call for Congressional hearings over the Swift Boat people? Did any liberals? Doesn't Congress have something else to do? Are we concerned about running the country, or about using an already partisan Congress to re-elect the President on the taxpayers' nickel?
If the President wants to take legal action because he believes he has been libeled, he is free to do that. I don't think he will, not because he's afraid of the outcome, but if he does file a legal complaint, we immediately get into rules of evidence, the lawyers take over, and the screaming festival (so convenient for taking people's minds off of issues of substance) will have to conclude.
Just try to look at the behavior objectively. How many threads have been started over this?
It must be nice to have something that's not Iraq and not the economy and not the environment and not the employment and health care issues to rant about, though. It's an excellent distraction.
