re: Biting the bullet

My drivers and such are located in a large folder in my data drive (a separate physical disk, not just a partition, from my system/application drive) where I can find them easily. Part of the rebuilding process is to check websites to see if anything newer has shown up.

I am carefully writing down in a Word file the procedures for a rebuild step-by-step, including authorization codes, serial numbers, etc. I'm almost done now, and next time will be easier.

I started with a low-level format at the SCSI bios level, and went on from there. So far, so good (knock wood.)

Does anyone know anything about programs like Norton GoBack? It looks attractive, but seems to put a heavy overhead burden on your system (not to mention storage space) and has compatibility problems with other things. Frankly, it might just be easier to use Ghost to make a drive image at critical points. Now that I've got a DVD burner I won't need so much space.
