Ok, enough is enough- Time to Kill the "Hurricane Charlie Death toll cover up" LIE

I have a few minutes to kill while waiting for the laser dye to warm up so I decided to kill this insane lie once and for all. The fact is the death toll is just what has been reported. Lindy and a few other nuts are claiming that hundreds and hundreds died and it was somehow covered up in a vast conspiracy for some unexplainabe reason... The proof? Well some guy said he was there and heard from another person...etc. Here is an example of Lindy's 'proof'

Media lies about the deaths from Hurricane Charlie?

"Terri also said that Rita's daughter, Paula Michaud, who works at the Punta Gorda morgue, is questioning why only 20 deaths across the state have been attributed to the hurricane.

According to Paula, Stuart said, due to the collapse of the Best Western Inn's roof in Punta Gorda, more than 100 bodies have been delivered to the morgue.

"No one knows why this information isn't being released," Stuart said.

My that is quite a horrific tale isn't it, folks... 100 people smashed to death when the roof of their hotel crashed down on them- 100 poor souls snuffed out in nature's fury- a hundred bodies piled up at the morgue.

"No one knows why this information isn't being released,"

Indeed, we should be OUTRAGED that this wasnt reported, why wasnt it? Did the Best Western Hotel chain send in their black helicopters and steal the bodies and silence all the witnesses with promises of free rooms for life? Or maybe the national guard burned all the evidence and shipped the witnesses to guantanamo bay for 're-education'. Or maybe, just MAYBE (bear with me here, I know this will sound far fetched) IT NEVER HAPPENED AND STUART IS A BALD FACED LIAR!!!

Ah you ask, "How can make such a claim, surely the conspiracy never let reporters near the survivors or the hotel?"

Well I guess the conspiracy goofed up (hey when you are feeding hundreds of bodies to the gators its easy to slip up)... plenty of reporters saw the Best Western and all agreed that the roof did not collapse on all those poor imaginary souls, the roof blew off and crushed some empty cars.

What about those lucky few that survived the supposed carnage, surely they would speak of the numerous bodies and gore that they had to climb over as they struggled to free them selves from the rubble?

Former Lancaster resident Jean Thode, 67, evacuated her home in Manasota Key, in Englewood, Fla., only to end up in the fiercest part of the storm.

She and her husband, Hank, 86, who has a congenital heart condition, left their home Thursday and ended up at a Best Western Hotel in Punta Gorda, which faces Charlotte Bay.

During the height of the storm, the power went out, killing the lights and air conditioning.

“Hotel people went to all the rooms and told us to fill our tubs with water and to close the drapes on our windows,’’ Mrs. Thode said. “There were windows breaking everywhere when the winds started to hit.”

The hotel was shaped like an L, and their room was in the corner.

“All that junk was flying around, but most of it missed us because of where our room happened to be,” her husband said.

“When the eye of the storm passed over, it was so strange, because there was just utter calm,” Mrs. Thode said. “It lasted almost an hour.’’

They stepped outside to see what damage the winds had caused — an action the Red Cross strongly advises against — and discovered that the exterior of the Best Western had been torn apart.

“It was dark, but the hotel gave everyone flashlights,” Thode said. “Most of the hotel roof had blown off, in pieces. Someone there, I forget who, said, ‘Hey, isn’t that your car out there?’ We looked outside and saw that a part of the roof landed right on our car.’’

Fortunately, the couple, who moved to Florida in 1976, had just bought a new car, which hadn’t arrived from the dealer yet.

They stayed in the hotel until Saturday. Much to their relief, when they returned home, they found their house undamaged by Charley’s wrath.

Isnt it odd that the comments when they saw the carnage were along the lines of ‘Hey, isn’t that your car out there?’ instead of 'Hey, Ethel, isn't that your husbands mangled corpse in that tree?'

I could go on, but quite frankly if you still believe in this conspiracy theory after reading the above then you are really beyond hope.

Lindy is just very very gullible, Stuart is a Liar.
