Afghanistan 'DID' select the Taliban. The Taliban movement started right after the war with the USSR when the country was in shambles and the people looking for direction. The Taliban gained support because they said they would get rid of the undesirables causing the problems in the country and were against Western culture. Since many of the Afghani people agreed with what the Taliban stood for they where supported by the majority of the country, therefore the Afghani people 'CHOSE' their leaders. It wasn't until later on that the Afghans figured out they screwed up supporting them just like the Germans with Hitler. Both countries were sold a bill of goods and once they figured it out it was too late to turn back. So your buddies from Afghanistan can blame their own and nobody else for the Taliban. Quit blaming the US for everything that goes wrong. If it wasn't for us, Afghanistan would be a part of Russia right now.
You are the complete twit.
