Bush doesn't understand the nature of the terrorist threat.
If he wants to win the fight against terrorism, he's going to have to change tactics.
War in Iraq only made things worse.
If the terrorists went to Afghanistan, it's because that country was in chaos after the war against the SU.
Iraq is in chaos now, and that's why terrorists thrive there too, now.

I'm naive of course, why not!

But look at the countries around the world which haven't sent troops in Iraq and have nobody there. Have they been threatened or are they as afraid of terrorism as those that have done it?

Do'nt do unto others what you don't want others to do unto you....

This is the basis for Sovereignty of States and non-interference;
This is the basis behind the Star Trek "Prime Directive".

It works.
But if you violate it to begin with, you face the consequences.
