As for Soros and his rich 'colleagues' - hate and self-interest are the order of the day. To be fair I could point out that similar meetings of very rich folks go on on the behalf of the right and George Bush. Soros and his 'popper' fixation is a threat to national security. The man is actively working for foreign powers against the interests of the US. In the old days his activities would have been considered treasonous, now they are just 'noteworthy eccentricities of a billionaire' and clothed in humanitarian garb.

Bush has a lock on it. We've reached the point where even a DUI on Nov 1 won't make a bit of difference. The media is required to declare it a dead heat now so as to influence those whose vote is reflexive, going for the 'perceived' winner and adding to George Bush's landslide. This does have an effect, but it is minimal. There are even more folks who vote reflexively vote security and survival when they realize there exists a real threat. Those folks are the ones who will put George Bush over the top.
