Well, excuse me for not writing it in Aramaic.

Everybody knows exactly what it means.

And yes, for the record, the first rock thrown at somebody by the first person in a stoning is the "first stone." The second guy throws the second stone. And so on. See how it works? If somebody throws two stones at once, the ones after that become difficult to properly enumerate, and it might be a good idea to stop and start over. If the stoning is properly organized, and people have taken their numbers at the beginning, the tossing is nice and sequential, and nobody gets mixed up. If you really want to do it right, you number the stones too, so you can be sure that there are enough of them ahead of time. It also prevents unpleasantness like picking up a hunk of camel shit by mistake, or two people knocking their heads together trying to pick up the same stone. It is permissible to switch stones with someone with a different number if yours is too heavy or has like a bug on it or something, but you need to check with the organizer.
