"Equally surprising is Soros’s willingness to join forces with other liberals—he has always been a loner, an independent, restless, and eccentric thinker who is determined not to be stuck in a fixed position for long. The Quantum fund, a pool for hugely wealthy investors that profited by anticipating and exploiting price swings in foreign currencies, is famously iconoclastic."

Why is it surprising, this guy doesn't pay American [or any countries' taxes]. And he is probably betting most of his money against America. Probably pissed him off that America didn't go into a prolonged recession.

So as soon as the billionaires can no longer hide, where do they show up? It's one more example of the Dem doublespeak- the Dems say the Republician are controlled by the rich. They say Bush is a liar. They say the war in Iraq is illegal [but at same time seem eager to start wars which in fact would be illegal]. They say they are against war - and support the enemy, do things like beat up cops, spew out lies and hype anything that goes wrong in the American miltary [not with aim of finding out what's wrong fixing it- but instead promoted as reason the war is wrong]. And finally Kerry says he has a plan. If Kerry had a plan it would mean he would have mandate if elected. If somehow elected Kerry will not have a mandate. What message will Kerry bring to Congress if he wins? Getting billionares to spend huge piles of cash in a negative campaign is a good idea. Not cooperating with President in any manner is a good idea. Freeing two countries from brutal regimes is a bad idea. Flip flopping is good. Doing the right thing is the wrong thing to do. Don't take any risk- let other countries take the lead, drag our heels on such things as spending billions to curb AIDs in Africa. And finally the UN can not be reformed- kill it.
