I can tell you that flying airplanes into WTC was not civilized. The way the US has treated the Iraqis and folks at Guantanamo is not civilized.
And to be civilized people have to be better than the uncivilized people.
The US Bill of Rights wasn't meant to be used when convenient, or when the people were popular, or when government felt it could safely allow it.
It is how people treat others which defines civilized - not the excuses they use to abuse people.
And you, my little friend, probably should not try to tell others they don't understand the term "civilized".
