Any campaign to re-elect is a job review for the incumbent.
Of seven separate endorsement editorials from an important magazine that represents a group to which Bush claims to belong, only scary Pat Buchanan is endorsing Bush. The rest have gone the other way, to "anyone but Bush", including one that goes so far as to suggest not voting as a protest. (An interesting idea, except we have no way of counting those non-votes differently from the "I can't be bothered" non-votes and "I forgot" non-votes and "I went to the polls but they turned me away" non-votes.)
I picked the editorial that endorses Kerry because it says a lot of what I think about Bush and his job performance. But there's a trend here, all right: traditional conservatives are fed up with the neocon agenda too.
