Do you mean it?

I can't leave right now because I have somebody starting high school next year, and I believe that children need consistency, especially teenagers. She's been in the same school system her whole life.

But I'd leave next month if I could.

I have not had any meaningful representation of my own positions in government, except on the national level, for over 20 years, in spite of personal involvement in the process. And now I don't even have that.

My nationally elected officials terrify me or inspire outrage, and sometimes both at once. As far as I'm concerned, the system is not representative, and has thus failed. I'm tired of having my tax dollars support a bullyboy first-strike foreign policy and a domestic policy that would please the robber barons.

Of the two major parties, the one in power will only listen to cheerleaders, and the one out of power hasn't been able to put the hay out where the goats can see it.

So, I have several years to brush up on Canadian literature. The Governor-General's list of children's books is very interesting! I'll be trying to find a few places where they might be looking for a professional youth librarian with storytelling skills who comes equipped with her own puppets and feltboards and can run a year's worth of programming for over 1,000 people on a budget of about $900.00 US, plus salary.

I hear that Iceland is not a bad choice either.

Perhaps the best way to put this is in commercial terms: as a customer of the US product, I am heartily dissatisfied, and I am looking to take my business elsewhere.
