Yes, there were insurgents before we attacked Iraq.

Back then, the very same people we are fighting now ran the whole country.

They were doing exactly the same things to other people that they are doing now, including mutiliation, torture, and summary executions. It was just more official back then, and nobody cared.

Do you want them back in charge?
