Thanks for the interesting info. Its good to hear that they are holding up well.
I plan on eventualy doing some home projects with alternative energy sources. Probably a few years off though, because I have other things in the works now.
Around hear, wind would probably make the most sense economicly, but PV systems would likely do well also. (Its flat as heck here, with a few trees interspersed between the corn and bean fields, and on most days you can see grain elevators, radio towers, buildings, etc... from 20+ miles away, and of course It's just cold as hell in the winter...)
Keep us informed on your progress. We'd love to learn from your experience before taking the plunge ourselves!
