The same standard for counting must apply to all counties...
not just those counties that are majority Democrat. With an election this close, a recount was mandatory. However, if some counties applied the old standard and others are allowed to use the new standard, then you don't have equal protection under the law. Those counties that used the old standard should be allowed to conduct a recount with the new standard. Only in that way can all votes be considered to be counted equally.
Of course, now that the Democrats have "found" enough votes to declare a victory, they'll insist that all further counting stop. Equal protection be damned, the ends justify the means!
