Incidentally, the expression "beyond the Pale" refers to the area of Ireland outside of Dublin and its environs (the Pale) during the time of the English occupation, where the "civilized" world did not extend. It was considered OK to treat the savage Catholics as subhumans at that time. Be aware that the terms you use to describe the treatment of your version of subhumanity have their own imperial freight to them.
