What you have described is a trial.

Currently people are being held indefinitely on suspicion alone. Nothing has been argued, nothing has been shown.

We are not a civilized people based on what we say we are, but on what we do. If our enemies are not civilized, this does not give us license to act like them or to abandon the rule of law that marks us as civilized.
