They laughed at Galileo, but they also laughed at Bozo.

99% of the stuff they laughed at was laughable.

The other stuff earned its acceptance through verifiability.

This idea that everything that is laughed at today will be accepted tomorrow is as bogus as the other paranormal claims you see floating around.
