Violations

The United States went to the U.N. to get cooperation in either getting full compliance from Saddam, or taking him out if he refused.

The United States was blocked, including by nations and groups who have since been shown to have been on the take from Saddam, a story being doggedly pursued despite the media's attempts to spike it.

One nation that was on the Security Council at this time, Syria, was actively pumping illegal arms into Iraq at the very time it was voting against America's demand to bring Iraq to account. Never mind the idiocy of having a nation like Syria on the Security Council at all.

An opinion article on this subject can be found here. Ideally, you want to call the cops when a crime is going down in your neighborhood. Things become more difficult when the cops are on the gangster payroll.

It's also becoming self-evident, especially in the past few days, that the leftist battle cry of "U.S. violation of Iraq's sovereign rights" is starting to sound a bit thin.
