Past events mean nothing when this administration and its friends want to disregard them or rewrite them for public relations purposes.

Mr. Bush takes pride in never changing his mind, so when he does -- and he does -- his loyal apologists must cheerfully pretend that that was what he said all along.

Tony can't win the argument with facts because some of you won't get your fingers out of your ears and quit whistling long enough to hear them. You can ridicule your opposition by calling them whiners, but your perception of their tone of voice is not a measure of whether or not their statements are true. That kind of ridicule only indicates how much they annoy you.
