An expert in one field is often uninformed on other subjects
As Will Rogers pointed out decades ago, "Everyone is ignorant, only on different subjects."
Just because Dr. Nelson is an expert at photo intrepretation, it doesn't mean that he's an expert at everything, nor a kook when it comes to politics. A kook is as a kook does. Spending all that time on such a meaningless pursuit sure sounds kooky to me.
