I thought the same about King Kong

Then I saw Peter Jackson's online video production diary with many dozens of downloadable behind-the-scene clips shot right from day 1 of the shoot. Love the miniatures (or BIGatures as the KK crew call them) and concept art and also all the reference photgraphs of New York City during the Great Depression. I'm quietly confident it will be a commercial success, although King Kong obviously lacks the scope and depth of Lord of the Rings. (WARNING: above link is not for the DSL-less.)
