If Dr. Hammersfahr is in fact a world renowned neurologist, I should be able to find an article of his in a peer-reviewed journal. I couldn't. It almost seems that the only reference of being world renowned actually comes from Dr. Hammersfahr himself. He also claims to be a Nobel Prize nominee. However, that is in reference to a letter written by his Congressman to the Nobel Prize committee. Such a letter is *not* a nomination and is ignored by the Nobel Prize committee. I did find that the Florida Department of Health has disiplined him for false advertising.

According to the court testimony on Terri Schiavo's CAT scans, Terri Schiavo has no visual, or audio cortex. This means she cannot and will never see or hear. She simply cannot "track" a balloon or answer oral questions since the centers of her brain that process this information no longer exist. Other brain damage include extensive frontal lobe damage and the central cortex which is used for processing touch, hot, cold, and pain throughout the body.

Dr. Hammersfahr admits his treatment cannot restore damage to cells that have been destroyed. His treatment can only help cells that have been damaged, but not destroyed by a stroke recover. How he can state that his treatment will somehow allow her to see, hear, and feel again is pretty much a mystery.

Dr. Hammersfahr strikes me as someone who, if he isn't an outright quack, as someone who knows how to toot his horn. He is definitely not someone who is "world renowned" and he is not a "Nobel Prize nominee"
