It's relative
My little brother who's 48, and my littlest sister, 45, both tried to tease me about it. But I told 'em, I've already passed through 50, while they're still staring it in the face. They're whistling in the dark when they try to tease me.
You, lad, get to face 40, then you'll get to face 50, and 60, and so on for, hopefully, many more decadal traumas.
