Oddly, when I talk about government-run broadcasting, I get lots of responses along the lines of "very little of public broadcasting money comes from the taxpayer."
But when that taxpayer spigot was going to be tightened, you'd think the entire organization was going to vanish in a puff of blue smoke.
Which is it? My research tells me only about 15 percent is taxpayer money. You got better numbers?
